About Susan Hallam

Susan Hallam

Susan is an independent Internet marketing consultant, with specialist experience advising SME (small and medium enterprise) businesses.  She has been working in the UK information industry for more than 25 years, and was amongst the first to deliver commercial Internet workshops back in 1993.

She is Managing Director of Hallam Communications Ltd - an Internet marketing agency in Nottingham delivering Search Engine Optimisation consultancy and training.

Susan has a BA in Political Science, and an MSc in Information Science from Drexel University, and is Chartered Member of the Institute of Library and Information Professionals.  Her expertise includes the business impact of emerging Internet technologies, Internet marketing strategies and tactics, customer relationship and content management technologies.

She has experience in advising high growth start-up companies with particular interest in the development and marketing of new online technologies.   She provides specialist international Internet marketing advisory services to UK Trade and Investment supported companies, and serves as a director of EMITA, the East Midlands International Trade Association.

Prior to setting up Hallam Communications in 1999, Susan held senior Internet marketing roles at BT and Capital One.  Susan’s initial interest in the Internet and electronic commerce arose from her teaching and research role as a Senior Lecturer in Information Technology at The Nottingham Trent University, where she continues to guest lecture.
